    Hebe

Greg, when do ideal conditions roll in so I can try this line? I've bouldered all summer but am putting on a rope this weekend and trying to get the endurance back up for Hebe and Crank Call at the Asylum. But I need to be strategic on my timing-- I'm not going to head down there until daytime temps drop below 75. I bet it would be ideal with mid to low 60s.

I would love to watch and/or photograph your attempts. What do you say?
I hate intellectual discussion. When I hear the words "phenomenology" or "structuralism", I reach for my buck knife.

    Hey Patrick,

I wouldn't even think bout it until Dec. / Jan.

Really? Crap. Sounds good though. I guess I will just have to keep the psych until then.

    Re: Hebe

I did it in the summer.
There are no slippery holds on the route so it won't matter.
I actually prefer a bit warmer. You can't feel your hands when it is too cold.

Just make sure that you head down in the afternoon.
We used to head down there around 9am if I recall.
I think the sun moves off the wall around 12-1.

The sun will be in your eyes on the last deadpoint in the afternoon but I don't think it is until 3 or so.

Let me know when you head down. I will give you a belay an my exact beta again.

Here is an early on attempt. It should help you remember the moves.

Nice work on that route Greg.  That thing looks sick!

Speaking of the Asylum; Does anyone have any beta on the routes there?  I have been there, but I don't know what any of the routes are or what they go at. If anyone has anything that they can share that would be sweet!

Wow Greg, that's impressive indeed. That would be the 3rd or 4th ascent, no? Nice work.

Merril beat me to the 2nd the prior summer.
